Filtering Interference can be caused by appliances that do not conform
to the C-Tick regulations, or by wireless intercommunication systems which
use mains borne signaling. The latter transmit high frequency signals into
the mains network. The filter/phase coupler suppresses noise caused by
external factors, while the unique filtering techniques of the X10 system
ensure internal interference is insignificant.
Coupling The FD10 also includes the ability to couple X10 signals
across phases. For installation with three phases, use three FD10 filters
and couple the filters by connecting their terminals K to the next phase,
respectively.
Only two units are necessary for coupling three phase power homes
however it is recommended that three are installed to protect the third
phase from street noise etc.
• Installed at the breaker panel/fuse box, prevents X10 signals from
leaving/entering the home.
• Filters ‘street noise’.
• Able to couple X10 signals onto another phase. (two required for
three phase homes)
• Eliminates any direct connection to the power–company–side
wiring.
• Rated 240V/63A.
